Musk acknowledged that there would be no new models in 2022, implying a further delay of the Cybertruck and that the endeavor to create a truly affordable Tesla is currently on hold.
Elon Musk rationalized the absence of new releases in 2022 by mentioning the chip problem afflicting all types of devices that rely on them at the moment. As a result, he emphasizes that they will optimize the utilization of the chips they now have to preserve the manufacturing of their current models.
This results in another delay for the Cybertruck, which will now arrive in early 2023 at the earliest. However, recently released photographs provide some solace in knowing that efforts are being made to allow you to witness the production as soon as feasible.
Elon Musk also stated that constructing an accessible automobile for around $25,000 — has been halted totally. But, again, he argues that the company's efforts are focused on existing models and the development of the Cybertruck, the Tesla Semi (trailer truck), and the Tesla Roadster.
