The new Jeep Grand Cherokee will have an electric 4xe plug-in hybrid variant with a 400-volt, 17-kWh EV battery beneath the vehicle, packed under the floor, and shielded from off-roading damage. Other external elements of interest to repairers include a lowered, tapering roof, a lowered beltline, expansive glass, front-wheel spats, a hood "aero flick," and a gloss black roof, which is standard on certain versions and optional on others.
Active shutters are featured on a broader and bigger version of Jeep's conventional seven-slot grille. Long-range radar and other technological elements are hidden under the grille and new front fascia.
